Giveback Draw

How it works

The whole machine, with the panels off

Two legal modes, kept completely separate. Here is exactly what happens in each, before you enter and after the drawing.

Free sweepstakes

Our frequent format. Entry is free and always will be for this mode.

  1. Before launch

    Sponsors fund everything

Local businesses buy defined ad value. That money secures the prize and a fixed gift to the cause, held before anyone enters.

  2. You, in 60 seconds

    Enter free, one route

A short form. No payment. You get a confirmation immediately. There is no path where paying buys better odds.

  3. Only after you enter

    An optional, separate donation

If you want to give more, a link to the cause's own donation page appears after your entry. It never touches the drawing list.

  4. Close time

    The list locks

Entries close at the published time. The eligible list is frozen. Nothing gets added later.

  5. Drawing day

    Witnessed, recorded draw

A recorded drawing selects the winner. We keep the rules version, entry count, and winning reference.

  6. After

    Proof is published

Winner status, drawing record, and the receipt to the cause go into the Trust Center, plus a 30-day impact follow-up.

Licensed charitable raffle

Reserved for major prizes, run at most quarterly.

  1. Before launch

    A licensed nonprofit runs it

An established nonprofit holds the local license, the bank account, and the drawing authority. The prize is donated or fully underwritten first.

  2. You buy a ticket

    A ticket is a purchase

We say so plainly. A raffle ticket is not a charitable deduction. Checkout is owned by the nonprofit, not by us.

  3. Right beside the button

    Winner costs shown up front

Income tax withholding, title, registration, and insurance are disclosed next to the ticket action, never buried.

  4. Close time

    The nonprofit locks the ledger

The nonprofit's designated manager controls the final eligible ticket list.

  5. Drawing

    Certified draw, independent of sellout

The prize is awarded on the stated date whether or not every ticket sold.

  6. After

    Full financial report

Gross receipts, allowed expenses, reserve, and final net proceeds are published, with a later use-of-funds update.

Follow the money

Where every dollar goes

The two modes never share a checkout. Here is the difference at a glance.

Free sweepstakes
  • Sponsor cash pays Giveback Draw for real media and content.
  • Part of that is set aside as the fixed gift to the cause, before launch.
  • Entrants pay nothing. Any optional donation goes straight to the cause, never to us.
Licensed raffle
  • Ticket money settles directly into the nonprofit's own account.
  • The nonprofit pays documented expenses and keeps the reserve.
  • Giveback Draw is paid a fixed fee for services. We never take a cut of ticket sales.
