Official rules
This is a plain-language template for how our two campaign modes work. Each live campaign posts its own final, dated rules with the specific prize, dates, and sponsor.
No purchase, payment, or donation is necessary to enter or win. A purchase or donation will not improve your chances of winning. Making a donation is entirely optional, happens only after your entry is confirmed, and goes directly to the featured cause.
Complete the free entry form on the campaign page during the entry period. You will receive a confirmation immediately. The entry period opens and closes at the dates and times posted on the campaign page in Central Time.
Odds of winning depend on the total number of eligible entries received. There is no guaranteed number of entries.
The eligible-entry list is locked at the posted close time. A winner is selected in a witnessed, recorded drawing using the posted procedure. The winner is notified privately first, then verified for eligibility before any public announcement.
The winner may be required to sign an eligibility affidavit and a release, and to provide tax identification where required. Prizes may be taxable to the winner. For a vehicle or other titled prize, the winner is responsible for applicable taxes, title, registration, and insurance. The prize value shown is the approximate retail value.
Each campaign names its official sponsor and administrator on the campaign page. Giveback Draw acts as a campaign-services provider. Paid and in-kind sponsor relationships are disclosed.
A licensed raffle is conducted by an established Illinois nonprofit that holds the applicable local raffle license and controls the tickets, the funds, the drawing, and the reporting. Giveback Draw is a paid services vendor and does not select the winner or hold ticket funds.
The prize is donated or fully underwritten before launch and is awarded on the stated drawing date independent of the number of tickets sold, unless the posted rules and law provide otherwise. The nonprofit's designated manager locks the ledger and conducts or certifies the drawing.
For a large prize, income-tax withholding may apply before the prize is transferred, in addition to title, registration, and insurance costs. For example, on a $35,000 vehicle and a $100 winning ticket, combined federal and Illinois withholding may total roughly $10,100 before other costs. A CPA and the final rules control.
After the drawing, the nonprofit publishes gross receipts, allowed expenses, any reserve, and final net proceeds, followed by a later use-of-funds update.
We collect only what is needed to run a campaign and contact a winner. Marketing permissions are separate, optional, and never pre-checked. We do not sell your personal information. Full privacy and terms text is posted before any live campaign accepts entries.
